Accommodation facilities= Services and space and equipment provided for a stay in an accommodation.
Apartment= Apartment is a type of accommodation; it usually offers a complete fully fitted apartment. The people that stay in an apartment use them as a home away from home therefore they are usually fitted with everything the average home would require.
Arrival= Act of arriving at a certain place.
Attached house= A house that is joined to one (or more) adjacent house(s) by a party wall.
Availability= Accessible or ready for use.
Bed & breakfast= Mostly operating out of a single family residence. A Bed and Breakfast typically are homeowner run operations, and can include one bedroom to rent upwards of 7 bedrooms that more closely resemble the traditional definition of an "Inn." One thing most of the properties have in common is a focus on customer service, individually decorated rooms, and a home-cooked style breakfast.
Booking= Arrange to stay in an accommodation.
Booking conditions= Agreement represents that one understands the scope and limitations of the booking.
Booking fee= A booking fee relates to the common practice of charging extra money when you’re booking a vacation.
Cancellation= Something cancelled, as a reservation for a hotel room, airplane ticket, allowing someone else to obtain the accommodation.
Check-in= Act of reporting your presence (as at an accommodation)
Check out= Latest time for vacating an accommodation.
Confirm= To acknowledge with definite assurance: Did the hotel confirm our room reservation?
Confirmation email= Email which you receive to generally confirm the structural arrangement.
Corner house= the Dutch word means a house on the corner. I really can’t find the English word for this type of house.
Deposit= Amount paid ahead of time to secure a reservation.
Detached House= (free-standing), any house that is completely separated from its neighbours.
Holiday home= A second home or vacation home mostly a home owners house which the owner is renting as a holiday accommodation. Many vacationers are opting for a single family residence that they can rent on a nightly or weekly basis.
Home/House = A place where one lives; a residence.
Hotel= A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging, usually on a short-term basis. Hotels often provide a number of additional guest services such as a restaurant, a swimming pool or childcare. Some hotels have conference services and meeting rooms and encourage groups to hold conventions and meetings at their location.
Kitchenette= A kitchen area with a small fridge and simple cooking area.
Last-minute= Booking an accommodation at the last minute.
Lodging or holiday accommodation= A type of accommodation. People who travel and stay away from home for more than a day need lodging mainly for sleeping. Other purposes are safety, shelter from cold and rain, having a place to store luggage and being able to take a shower.
No show= A guest who fails to notify a hotel etc. when cancelling a reservation.
Packages= A complete program produced for the theatre, sports, etc., or a series of these, sold as a unit.
Semi-attached or semi-detached house= Two houses sharing one common side, typically identical homes on each end with matching appearances and driveways, with a common front lawn.
Studio apartment= a suite with a single room that doubles as living/sitting room and bedroom, with a kitchenette and bath squeezed in off to one side.
A vacation rental= a fully furnished property, such as a condominium, town home or single-family-style home, often referred to as villa rentals in Europe. The traveller arranges to rent the vacation rental property for a designated period of time, many rent on nightly basis similar to hotel rooms, although the more prevalent vacation rental industry practice is typically weekly rentals.
Voucher= Vouchers are used in the tourism sector primarily as proof of a named customer's right to take a service at a specific time and place.
WIFI= Wireless Internet.
